Witchfire just got a massive new update in PC, the extraction shooter is growing even bigger now, and it has been out for around two years. Its been a long ride so far and there is promises that the game will get even better as time goes on, being an early access game means that this will be a long ride in development, and more things will be added into it. The developers believed they would be releasing this one at the middle of 2026, but it seems that this will take a while longer to implement. Early Access games are cool, but at the same time they feel like the devs needed the help of the community.
Witchfire grows bigger
For fans of difficulty, it seems that this update will make the game even harder, as it adds a ton of new enemies to fight that will be very tricky to deal with. Along with this, a new territory has been added to the game, which is described as a huge Marshland area filled with tons of things to explore. At the same time, lore has been given some focus with NPC interactions, a thing that wasn’t there before and now they plan to do it to mesh with the eventual 1.0 release of Witchfire.
There is a ton of new things, weapons, rosary beads and even torments, it is crazy how huge this update was and not to mention it was also a free update too. Considering the game is still in early access, I can’t help but feel excited about the future behind this game, hopefully it drops soon in 2026 becoming one of the best extraction shooters of the year, if not the best. Witchfire is about to be released, so maybe its time to buy it while it is still discounted.
