SiN Reloaded just got a demo on PC, this is a classic First Person Shooter from 1998 that needed more time in the spotlight and also some fixes. Now, this diamond in the rough is ready to have another go at it, and hopefully this time we will be able to appreciate what we couldn’t appreciate before. Remasters, and even remakes, should be make whenever a game didn’t have success when it released way back in the day, as a way to improve on what could have been. Instead, many times we just get the best games ever remade, and that often sucks the soul of the original entry.
SiN Reloaded gets demo
You can try out the demo for a while and see if it is just as you remember it, we still don’t know when this one will be dropping but we can assume that it will also be in 2026. Everyone is trying to avoid Grand Theft Auto 6 as best as they can, so having many cool games release in 2026 might end up being the best strategy. SiN Reloaded is based on a game that was made with the Quake Engine, and I genuinely wonder if this will be some sort of emulation, or if it will be redone in a modern engine instead.
Trying to keep legacy support for these things tends to be a very hard thing to achieve, as there is many problems with binaries and other files that simply aren’t compatible with modern operating systems. Time flies, so it is always smart to keep your old computers if you wanna skip the hassle of having to buy remastered versions of the games you love. While I doubt that SiN Reloaded is going to be a bad remaster, you never know what things they can end up ruining accidentally.
