Bancho the Chef is coming soon to PS5, as shown by the State of Play that showcased a ton of new games coming to the system. Although we all know, the PS5 does not really have games that we can care about because they all went to PC, and now Sony is considering that maybe they should keep the games that are worth it exclusive to the system. All of these decisions come 6 years into the lifecycle of the console, which is insane because that means more than half of the life of the system has been wasted in nothing.
Bancho the Chef looks amazing
If only this was an exclusive to the PS5, perhaps it would bring people over to the system with its stylized graphics. Alas, we can see that the time for the PS5 has ended and now they are planning a PS6 in the back. I hope that Sony reconsiders that the only reason hardware sells is because of the games it has, rather than selling for the machine itself which is merely just a limited computer at the end of the day. The history of the medium proves that machines that were all specs and zero games always kicked the bucket.
Bancho the Chef is definitely not a system saver, but if things played different, and we lived in an alternate reality where consoles besides the Nintendo Switch mattered, it might have done some impact. I want to believe that the next generation of consoles will bring us something special that makes buying into them worth it. Bancho the Chef will have us playing as Bancho, and this is a game made by the same people who made Dave the Diver, now the team has gone free from Krafton and we can see they have been cooking something great.
