Valve does the right thing yet again, and it seems they have pretty much open sourced their design blueprints for the Steam Controller. This is huge considering we are currently under a big scalper crisis, and this might allow people with enough skills to pretty much tank the market by making the controller themselves. Scalping is a big issue in the modern day as it deprives us of the capacity to get our hands into things we could want, thankfully it does not happen for crucial goods because that would be nightmarish. I feel like anyone with a 3D printer can make something out of this.
Valve does the right thing
As much as I try to remain skeptic around every company, Valve has showed that they actually do care about giving power to the players rather than keeping everything private and overcharging. Many companies wouldn’t even think of doing something like this, yet Valve just keeps winning by doing the minimum one should expect to come from companies. I really wish more could take this as an example and became more conscious that the people who buy their stuff pretty much maintains their entire brand. We the people keep the money flowing into them.
If it weren’t for the fact that people buys things, all of these empires would crumble because they need us more than we need them. Valve knows this, so they always throw a little extra our way to keep us entertained, making us cease the thoughts of wanting to dig deeper around them and their controversies. At the very least, Valve is not Epic Games, which is a company that boasts being anti consumer and even Pro-AI in some cases. There has been massive layoffs in the industry and Epic Games has pretty much destroyed Fortnite with these layoffs.
