Starpath is a space exploration simulator, and it was announced with a trailer a while ago. This new PC game looks rather promising because it taps into the unexplored potential of space exploration sims, many remember things like Kerbal Space Program, but since that game there hasn’t been anything that attempts something like it. This is a game made by a solo developer, which means its truly an indie game made with the bare minimum requirements. I always admired those bold enough to make a game by themselves, and I believe that this will be an experience that many will remember if it becomes popular.
Starpath gets revealed
While we still don’t fully know how precise will this simulator be, it might end up being based mainly in the exploration aspect rather than focusing on the whole idea of having precise physics. Physics are very important in games like this, because you need to convey the correct vibes on how space even works for it to feel realistic. Kerbal Space Program is known for aiming at a sense of realism with all of the little systems and things to do in the game.
I believe this aims for a more Subnautica vibe in a way, but more focused towards space exploration rather than marine exploration, Starpath does seem like quite the promising indie title. However this is as far as news goes relating to it, there is no release date, there is no more information if it will drop in more systems, and there’s definitely no more gameplay details that we can analyze as of now. If you are interested, and seek to scratch the itch of a space simulator of course, perhaps you should wishlist this game to help the developer out. Hopefully Starpath becomes the path of success for him.
