Xbox definitely has one of the weirdest legacies in gaming so far, born out of the treason by Microsoft towards Sega and now its dying for justifiable reasons. I don’t think anybody really owns an Xbox right now, nor they should own one either because you can play everything on PC no matter what. Recently, chief of Xbox that was already placed in the board a while ago has raised concerns about the price of the once popular subscription service, citing that it is very expensive. I feel like the biggest issue with Xbox Game Pass was the fact that you really owned anything, just rented.
Xbox has fallen
There really is no much of a reason to pay for this subscription anymore considering games tend to go on deep sales on PC in platforms like Steam. There’s also no reason to keep using anything made by Microsoft due to the fact that they are pushing very hard towards “AI”. All of these moves are anti consumer and put you at risk when you think about it, so what can you do? There’s multiple options, I’m aware there’s people modding their Xbox systems to run games for free in them, there’s also the option of just going to PC.
You can get into PC gaming by just selling your systems and never looking back, that way, with a decent setup you are pretty much able to play any sort of game you would ever want via emulation and occasionally try new games out. There’s nothing huge in this day and age, and the industry survives on indie titles made with love and passion by talented individuals who also happen to be gamers. If this keeps going as it does right now, I feel like indie developers will take over the industry.
