Graveyard Keeper 2 opts for the safe route of building upon what already exists, this new PC game is coming soon to us in 2026, but we still don’t know when that will happen. I have a feeling that Graveyard Keeper 2 might be dropping in October of 2026 to be right in time with Halloween celebrations, it would only make sense to make it this way since its quite the spooky and morbid game to play. The original is a blast, and its currently free to keep forever if you go to the Steam store page, so if you wanna have context of what’s going on this is your chance to do so.

It is clear that this game will be more of what people loved from the first one, even the graphics show us how little things have changed, they look more polished yet familiar, and the art style keeps being the same one that dropped in 2018. It is neat to see amidst this current trends in gaming, indie games that understand identity is something important to focus on to stand out from the rest. So many games go the generic route and don’t embrace their oddities, so many that it kinda makes me sad.
There’s a ton of things to do in Graveyard Keeper 2 from what it seems, because there might be some new systems in it and polishing that the original might need. If you really liked the first one and want to have some more of the same coolness, I feel like it would be wise to at least wishlist this new entry to help the developers out. The indie game development world is a hard thing to succeed in, so every shred of support helps fledgling developers to subsist under this competitive industry.
