Two Xbox Seniors leave Microsoft, this is a good development that can help make the company less strong in the future, if they are going to go for “AI” then they will learn that losing important people hurts a lot. Unfortunately Microsoft will never learn, and they will keep losing people until they fold, what could have been a great company providing something cool for us turns yet again on a greedy mass of venture vultures seeking to nickel and dime every single one of us instead. Microsoft had great ideas, but it has been a very long while since they did anything worthwhile, the beginning of the end was the early 2000s for them.

One of them is involved with “AI” however, and hopefully they learn that this is not the way to go in this industry or any industry for that matter. Haiyan Zhang was involved in the gaming AI division of Xbox, and now she wishes to work for the Netflix gaming division, going from bad place to another. We are close to moving into a future were we can’t own anything, and they will ask us to be happy with this development.
This comes at a terrible time where physical media is being phased out in favor of only digital keys that speed up development cycles and make things cheaper, however the customer can’t feel the cheapness at all in the prices, only on what they bought with their hard earned money. We need to reclaim gaming from the hands of greedy corporations that plan on making the entire medium into a slop fest, and for that we need to support the right indie developers and creatives to ensure the industry can keep moving forward. It is on us to bring the fight against Microsoft.
