Call of Duty: Warzone’s Black Ops Royale is about to get a new Solo mode as a Private Match option sometimes in next week, developer Raven Software has confirmed. In a recent tweet, the developer has explained that the solo mode will be added to Call of Duty: Black Ops Royale to help the overall balance in the game and also to gather early data which will definitely be helpful for the devs in more ways than one. The studio wrote:
“Good news: We’ve heard your feedback on adding more ways to play Black Ops Royale, and Solos is coming! While this will require some backend work and a few changes that need to happen before it goes live, we’re excited to get Solos into the game and we’ll share more details on timing as we get closer to deploying. We plan to add Solos as a Private Match option next week to help gather early data on match pacing and overall balance. In the meantime, keep your feedback coming throughout the weekend!”
The addition of the new solo mode can also be a form of response to Battlefield Redsec getting solo play in the near future, as both Call of Duty and Battlefield are rival franchises in the first person shooter genre, this possibility can’t be ruled out entirely.
In other news of Call of Duty, the Season 2 in last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is currently underway and brings significant updates and improvements to pretty much all aspects of the multiplayer shooter, so if you’ve previously been disappointed by Black Ops 7, all the changes brought to the game by the new Season might just win you over.
