Bravely Default is back this time with an HD Remaster that clearly seems to use upscaling on backgrounds, at least from what I gather by seeing images of it. 3D graphics look slightly better but that wasn’t really the point, I feel like they kinda ruined the look of the game by trying to modernize it. Converting a game from one wildly different system to another often proves to be a very hard thing to do. If you are hungry for some JRPGs on PC that are good however, you can’t really pass up the opportunity to get this one.
Bravely Default returns
But also there does not seem to be any announcement for anything new in the Bravely series, so we will have to wait some more to see if anything happens. Its been a long while since the release of Bravely Default 2, and people were questioning the quality of that one, perhaps the developers got tired of the series so they just left it as is, abandoned to fate. This is very weird because with the backing of Square Enix and people involved in the Final Fantasy series, one would think this one would have a promising future ahead.
Sadly, Square Enix keeps focusing on bigger IPs while ignoring trying to make new ones, it is very important to have balance, make big games and make small games. The fans of classic Final Fantasy titles often don’t have a place to go, so having a series ongoing like the Bravely series can prove to be more beneficial in the long run to ensure the public remains with Square Enix and does not go for other companies. If you are interested, there’s a release discount of 20% with this game, but you have to be quick before it runs out.
