Stellar Blade was one of 2024’s best action adventure releases that also came out on the PC last year and went on to earn the title of the best-selling PlayStation exclusive on PC, surpassing other AAA heavyweights such as Marvel’s Spider-Man (both 1 and 2), God of War, Ghost of Tshushima and more. Stellar Blade’s staggering player counts on the PC also officially cemented the game as the highest selling Playstation port ever, which is a mighty impressive feat especially considering the games it outperformed and how little hype it had compared to the others.
And now, developer Shift Up has hinted on the company’s recent Q3 earnings report that Stellar Blade could arrive on other platforms beyond the PC and Playstation, which means we could certainly see the game on the Xbox systems as well as on the Nintendo Switch 2 console in the near future. The developer also expects the Stellar Blade IP to grow in popularity as they plan on running promotional sales across both platforms where the game is currently available now.
“To further enhance brand recognition and boost sales, we plan to carry out various promotional activities and are considering additional platform expansions to make Stellar Blade accessible to more players.”
So yes, Stellar Blade may come out on the Xbox and the Switch 2 as well which would see the game generate even more impressive sales numbers across the board.
Stellar Blade’s PC version also came with a range of bonus additions such as unlocked framerate, AI upscaling via Nvidia’s DLSS 4 and AMD’s FSR 3, both Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, ultrawide display supports, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects. The game also has a bonus Boss battle in the PC version, along with 25 new in-game outfits for the main character. The PC port of Stellar Blade has also received 3 New Epilogues at the end of September which reveal the fates of the main characters in the game.
