Lenrual is one of those artsy indie PC titles that people should pay more attention to, it is clear that the developer behind it put tons of passion in this project yet it still remains ignored by the vast majority of players. A new update has released adding native support to Linux, which is a massive thing for the community of that operating system. Sometimes having to deal with emulation layers isn’t that efficient so having the opportunity to play this game without them is a blessing. Lenrual is a very interesting experience, and you decide how things take place in it.
Lenrual is freedom
You are free to explore a vast map filled with tons of interaction and characters to meet, characters that you might end up remembering well after having finished the game. Lenrual is a game clearly made by someone who sees games as an art form, and its yet again a proof that the medium can be something more than a product to be consumed and discarded. Consumerist culture has encroached video games, and it has caused serious damage to them to the point games that might as well just be a pile of advertisement find success, while creative indies like Lenrual just die in obscurity.
I don’t believe that is a fair thing, it would pain me to see more games of this kind just not get the recognition they deserve, so I’m doing my best to bring more eyes onto it as I believe it is worth your time and attention. You can easily do complete the game in 2 hours at most, and the experience is one that will remain with you for a very long while. The power that video games bestows upon us is the ability to create amazing worlds to convey what we think about and how we think about it.
