Battlefield 6 has been a triumph of a shooter since it came out last year, dethroning Activision’s juggernaut Call of Duty along with driving EA’s NET bookings by 38% over the previous year and now with the upcoming Season 2 which is set to kick off February 17, there’s a ton of new contents and several gameplay improvements headed it’s way which are sure to improve the overall player counts even more.
A new teaser has also been unveiled recently showcasing some of the premise of Season 2 which sees players try to reclaim a NATO airbase in Germany that serves as the main playground for all the upcoming first person mayhem.
The full gameplay trailer for Battlefield 6’s Season 2 will be revealed on February 12 so make sure to tune in tomorrow to get your first look at all the upcoming in-game contents.
There will be two new maps in Season 2, one is titled ‘Contaminated’ and the other is ‘Golmud Railway’, which is one of the maps from Battlefield 4, modernized for the new game in many ways. Considering the added time that was taken for the launch of the new season, you can expect both new maps to be highly effective and tailored for providing an overall balanced experience for all playstyles. There won’t be any of the criticisms that were directed at several of the earlier maps in Battlefield 6, hopefully and in most probability.
On the other hand, there will also be a major update designed to improve the core gameplay experience in key ways including faster Battle Pass progression which will make the upcoming season far more rewarding and allow all players to progress faster through both regular gameplay and weekly challenges.
The in-game movement will also see marked improvements including smoother vaulting, smoother ladder transitions and more. Additionally, there will also be fixes that’ll eliminate several visual inconsistencies and other technical hitches in Battlefield 6.
Battlefield Redsec which is the Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6, will also see more rewarding progression with an increase in both Career and Weapon XP in the upcoming Season.
