It was previously confirmed that a total of three games will be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct event but now it’s been reported that a fourth title or at least one more game will be presented during the event as well. First mentioned on the Reset Era Forum, there will be a ‘secret’ fourth game at this year’s Xbox Developer Direct and according to VGC, that fourth game wouldn’t be an indie title from a third party studio but “a smaller original game from a first-party studio”.
It’s worth mentioning that last year’s Xbox Developer Direct also had a previously unknown, niche title which later turned out to be Ninja Gaiden 4, a game that’s now considered as one of the very best action titles of recent times and a must-play for anyone who loves the hack-n-slash genre of games. But as to this year’s fourth and still unknown title, guess we’ll just have to wait and see but thankfully it won’t be much longer as the Xbox Developer Direct will take place on Thursday, January 22 at 1pm ET/10am/6pm.
According to Microsoft, the highlight of the upcoming event will be three new titles which are namely the next Fable, Forza Horizon 6 and Beast of Reincarnation, all of which will be getting extended first looks during this year’s Xbox Developer Direct. And of course, among the three, Forza Horizon 6 is the biggest game to watch out for which was first unveiled at Tokyo Game Show last year and is expected for a full gameplay reveal during the upcoming annual Xbox event.
Developer Playground Games had also confirmed earlier that Forza Horizon 6 will feature the biggest map ever seen in the series, along with a host of activities for players to engage in. However, it seems graphically there may not be as big of an improvement than Forza Horizon 5 as both are part of the current console generation.
