Mazebound gets a massive update and it has been revealed with a trailer, this new PC survival horror game looks quite interesting and its being developed by an independent studio that recently seems to have popped up on Steam. Previously Absam Studios made Werewolf Party, a social deduction game similar to Among Us but with enough changes to feel different and unique. It is interesting to see that this game just released a while ago in 2025, and the demo for Mazebound just dropped some months after it. The developers seem to love making games and crafting art.
Mazebound looks interesting
This new update for the Mazebound demo adds a ton of new enemies and a very important crafting system that will change how you face the game from now on. Knowing what items to make and when will be the difference between life and death and depending on how you collaborate with other players in this cooperative experience where you aren’t the only one who is starving, but a ferocious beast is awaiting deep in the maze to go in feast very soon. A ton of these beasts look rather harmless at first, but are extremely dangerous in reality.
You might face with rats, and you might also face against entities that mimic what was once human and try to trick you away from the safety of your own party. I bet that playing this game alone might make many of you scared, and the low poly aesthetic of the game really sells horror quite well when you think about it. There’s something rather creepy about older games thanks to the limitations, especially those that are horror games, the sense of liminality is what helps bring this discomfort forward. If you are interested, you can try out the demo for free, there’s a ton of things to do in the maze.
