Heaven Does Not Respond has all the markings of a classic PC game that might get remembered for years to come. Some might dismiss it as yet another artsy project but since games are art, its not a valid thing to do and they will be missing out. Set in the distant year of 2005 in an alternate timeline to ours Heaven Does Not Respond has us interacting with an old computer, its files, and the past behind it. There’s something very curious about the video files in it however, as we don’t experience them as we usually do, but we actually get inside of them.
Heaven Does Not Respond is scary
The vibe of Analogue Horror is on point with this one, and all of it is tied to psychological horror that if executed correctly can leave anyone thinking on it for a very long while. While I don’t expect something like the Silent Hill series by any means, that does not mean that Heaven Does Not Respond wouldn’t be yet another piece of art to appreciate and analyze. There’s only much one can do by being an indie developer and yet most of these games feel like accomplished experiences compared to what we usually get from triple A developers.
While there’s many games with a similar thematic, the internet and everything pertaining to technology is deep rooted into our culture, so it makes sense that more than one person would use a setting like this in their games. There’s something mysterious about old and used technology and the history behind its previous users, so Heaven Does Not Respond will clearly take this mystery and twist it into something horrifying for us to explore. If you are interested in a game like this and see if it sticks, try out the demo, the game comes soon in February 6th 2026.
