Fighting Force Collection is out on Steam, for those who are curious on how the Yakuza series was in the early days of 3D Fighting Force Collection provides all titles in the long lived and unsuccessful series of games meant to reboot the Streets of Rage series that was wildly popular in the 90s. Unfortunately these games leave a lot to be desired, but regardless of that everything deserves to be preserved as long as there’s effort put behind it. The package is convenient and cheap, so you don’t really have to spend tons of money in what essentially are collectors items.
Fighting Force Collection is out
Patrol the streets and beat up baddies in this fully 3D beat em up of the 90s that didn’t surprise many thanks to its jankiness and overall lack of quality. The people behind this one were related to the development team that made Streets of Rage a reality way back in the early 1990s for the Sega MegaDrive. It wouldn’t be until many years later that we would enjoy a proper 3D rendition of a beat em up with the Yakuza series when Sega decided to fork out and do more stuff. This is the proof that execution is the thing that matters the most, and also the hardest.
Keep in mind that this collection is handled by Limited Run Games, controversial company that is jumping from drama to drama and sometimes delivering subpar quality products that can kill your real hardware. It has happened with some NES cartridges they produced and it is horrifying to know that nothing was ever done about the damages and they continue operating. Sources from inside the company also claim that working there is a hellhole, so maybe its better to just skip this release and emulate Fighting Force Collection for free in some other way.
