Devs Lay Out Plans to Fix Widespread Issues in Battlefield 6 Following Winter Offensive Update

Battlefield 6

The recent Winter Offensive update for Battlefield 6 saw players across PC and the Consoles reporting huge number of issues (and some of them can be legitimately game breaking) related to the game’s UI, gameplay stuttering across different modes and tons more which is massively disappointing and can seriously disrupt the great momentum that EA’s flagship shooter has garnered for itself this year.

In other words, the Winter Offensive update along with all of it’s contents have opened a can of worms in Battlefield 6 ranging from a myriad of technical and gameplay related problems that were unimaginable till this update was released. Issues range from clunky and non-functional menu-navigation to trouble registering hits on firing range targets, occurrences of micro-stuttering in many areas and many more smaller ones.

But thankfully, the developers have responded quickly and have also laid out a roadmap dedicated to fully iron out all of the reported issues and problems that players are experiencing in Battlefield 6 so far.

Battlefield Studios has stated that there will be hotfix and patches in the coming days designed to address all of the issues: “We want to give you a clear status update on the issues we are tracking, the work already completed, and our near-term and future plans,” the statement says. “The team has been reviewing all reports since the update, including items related to Breakthrough, the Firing Range, Portal, the Main Menu, and performance topics such as micro-stuttering on PC, along with several other issues raised by the community.”

“We will continue validating the resolutions already in development, gathering additional data from your reports, and prioritizing remaining issues based on severity and player impact,” BF Studios said. “Several items have already been resolved, or will be through our upcoming hotfixes. More improvements are planned in upcoming updates.”

Hopefully EA and Battlefield Labs fix all the issues as soon as they can and get Battlefield 6 back to a fully functional state, just as it was before this update was rolled out.

Battlefield 6 has been a triumphant return for the iconic franchise so far and has been the highest selling title of this year in both Xbox and the PC platform and the second best-selling game on Playstation, behind NBA 2K26. EA’s flagship shooter has also become the best-selling title in the U.S in the month of October, while also being the highest selling game in the history of the long running series in the U.S as well.
