Containing around six hours of additional gameplay and story, the Valley of Memory DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will follow protagonist Basim into ninth-century AlUla (a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the modern day Saudi Arabia) in a quest to find his long lost father.
The upcoming DLC will introduce a new region in Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s map along with new assassination targets, side quests and missions. Besides including a new twist on the series’ staple Black Box Assassination missions which let you complete assassinations in a myriad of ways, the new DLC also brings several gameplay improvements like more refinements in Mirage’s parkour mechanics such as manual jumping, smoother transition when moving between rooftops and the ability to customize side and back ejects.
And while the addition of a brand new DLC is definitely exciting for all players who have enjoyed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, it’s worth keeping in mind that the upcoming content does not focus on Basim after the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla nor on the events between Mirage and Valhalla, both of which still continue to remain as totally unanswered story threads that Ubisoft has done nothing to address so far.
