Tomba 2 The Evil Swine Return is a classic, in general, the Tomba! series is a classic that everyone needs to try out. Made by the father of excellent game mechanics, Tokuro Fujiwara, creator of games like Bionic Commando and taking a big part in the Mega Man series as a producer. The big issue with this PC port is rather obvious for those who have kept up with the industry for a while now, Limited Run Games is involved. Limited Run Games has to be one of the worst companies to rely on when it comes to preserving your games or porting them properly, not even the Carbon Engine is good.

If you don’t care about the ethics behind the company, you can buy this one, you can also buy the previous one that got published by them some months ago too. We may not see a Tomba 3 any time soon, and to think this game was planned makes everyone from my generation very sad, it would have been an amazing title for the PS2 had the game released and Sony gave any support to this studio. Originality is a thing that the industry struggles with now, and the beautiful era of the 90s was hit after hit, Tomba 2 The Evil Swine Return is an excellent encapsulation of 90s wackiness.
Art is made by artists, not corporations, and Tomba was victim of the market favoring the next big thing instead of favoring amazing games that are unlike anything that was seen before. The PS1 is one of the best consoles on the planet, but that applies to plenty of systems, some even saying that the PS2 is the last good console to hit a store.
