Sonic Rumble isn’t a normal Sonic game, it’s a live service title that people should avoid. These games tend to die very quick and be a gamble when it comes to profits for the company, and this is pretty much a big issue the industry faces nowadays. Stop Killing Games is a campaign that opposes such games to provide players and people who buy into them the opportunity to be able to play these games forever without any sort of repercussion. By achieving this goal, live service games can be preserved, but since companies try to avoid this from happening, perhaps they don’t consider Live Service slop as worthy of preservation.

Sonic Rumble includes cosmetics that outright give you advantages, not to mention that the monetization scheme is awful for a game that is meant to be played by people who is young. If you are a parent who was into Sonic and consider getting your kids to play this game, please, don’t do so, you are exposing them to a toxic scheme that takes their money away. Perhaps the best thing you can do for you kid is to just buy them Sonic Mania, trust me, they will have more fun playing an actual video game than being exploited by these manipulative live services.
Sonic Rumble might not last long, and the more people who opts to not support this game joins in, the quicker will be the downfall for it. If you wish to oppose this game, simply don’t play it even if it tempts you with being a free experience. That’s the biggest industry hook to make you into a micro transaction addict, when you put things for free, most of the time those who eat the bait become the product themselves. Sonic Rumble is definitely not a real Sonic game or worth it of being considered one.
