Xbox Game Pass changes are insane, many fans of the system are starting to doubt the direction Microsoft is going. After the massive gutting and cancelling of video games that Microsoft has done, primarily in favor of initiating their “AI” slop phase, the only thing that remained for Xbox was the popular Xbox Game Pass. Now, right after such a critical hit has been dealt to Microsoft in many fronts, especially to their brand of consoles of dubious success in the history of gaming, they decide to inflict another wound upon themselves, this time choking their golden goose to death by killing Xbox with some Xbox Game Pass changes.

Or more likely, they shook Microsoft and the Xbox team themselves. Many gamers are mourning the loss of Xbox’s Biggest feature, while it didn’t really stop existing, the price hike is so big it makes no sense to keep being subscribed to such a service when you can get physical games for cheaper. The sad reality is that even physical games might not be the real deal at all, since now you are locked to an ecosystem where you always have to download your files if you wanna have access to them, it is a boon that retro game does not have to deal with this sort of insanity.
I can just grab a Game Boy cartridge and plop it right into the cart slot and start playing a game, consoles were about that, simplicity. Now simplicity has been lost, we are forced into unnecessary subscription services that nobody wants, those who agree with it have never grown in an era where they could own things, they seem to have disregarded how much worth is it to have something physically there with you, something tangible that you can really own, Xbox Game Pass changes aren’t the issue, but the service itself was.
