It was earlier revealed that the free-to-play, battle royale mode coming for Battlefield 6 is named RedSec, according to ModernWarzone who posted the name in their official X/Twitter page.
“EXCLUSIVE: The F2P Battlefield 6 battle royale is officially named “Battlefield: RedSec”. Releasing October 28th as previously reported, however it looks like there won’t be any trailers or official announcements until the 28th itself instead of a day before. Full on shadowdrop”.
The upcoming battle royale mode will no doubt boost Battlefield 6’s overall playability even further besides giving a much overhauled gameplay experience than what you’ve seen in the previous Battlefield: Firestorm. However, it’s currently unknown if RedSec will be a complete relaunch of Firestorm or a brand new mode that replaces the earlier battle royale which was a bit divisive for lots of players.
But one thing’s certain, the upcoming RedSec will definitely improve over all the shortcomings of Firestorm which would be great. So if you were disappointed with the earlier battle royale mode, the upcoming mode in Battlefield 6 can restore your faith in the series once more when it launches on October 28th.
And based on a recent report from Insider Gaming, the upcoming battle royale mode for Battlefield 6 will only feature Duos and Squads, at least at the time of it’s launch. Which means you’ll be able to play RedSec in only groups of two or four when it comes out and the player numbers will expand post-launch to reach a staggering 100 player count which could be made by 50 players in two teams or 25 players divided across four teams in a spectacular, massive scale that only Battlefield would be capable of as one of the hallmarks’ of the long running series is it’s sprawling, huge maps that evoke an all-out warfare experience that’s unrivaled in videogames.
So make sure to check out Battlefield 6: RedSec when it arrives on October 28.
