Capcom has launched Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 (Version 1.030.00.00), introducing one of the most awaited collaborations in the franchise’s history: a permanent crossover with Final Fantasy XIV Online. This major update challenges hunters to face the robotic superboss Omega Planetes. Players need to reach Hunter Rank 41 or higher to take on this extra mission. The event is well integrated and allows hunters to use Job-specific actions from FFXIV, such as those for the Dark Knight and Pictomancer, to gain an advantage in this tough encounter.
In addition to the notable collaboration, Title Update 3 offers significant endgame content for the dedicated players. Those who reach Hunter Rank 100 can now take on an extreme-difficulty 9★ permanent quest that specifically targets Omega Planetes, providing a serious challenge for high-level teams. The update also introduces a new monster, Nerscylla Clone, which players can unlock at HR 41. It also confirms the future appearance of Arch-tempered Nu Udra through an upcoming Event Quest. Additionally, the important Support Hunter system expands with the addition of Kai, a Hunting Horn specialist, available after completing the mission “A Hunter’s Pride.” Support Hunters have also received general stat improvements for taking on high-difficulty quests.
As autumn approaches, the update kicks off the Festival of Accord, named Dreamspell, which runs from October 22 to November 12, 2025. This seasonal event brings visual updates to the Grand Hub and temporary changes to the Canteen menu and the Barrel Bowling mini-game. Importantly for veteran players, Capcom has addressed several long-standing quality-of-life issues, especially those related to Lagiacrus. The patch notes confirm fixes for the leviathan’s annoying habit of repeating action loops and its rapid counterattacks after a Power Clash, as well as improvements to its spawn behavior when using the ‘Plenty’ option in the Scarlet Forest.
Lastly, Title Update 3 includes an important technical note: this will be the last content patch that supports Windows 10. PC users are advised that future updates after October 14 may not be supported, and they are encouraged to upgrade to Windows 11 or switch to a console. With the FFXIV crossover set to begin its involvement in the event on October 7 with Patch 7.35, this update promises plenty of content for the dedicated hunting community throughout the fall season.
