Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection got a new teaser, it seems that no matter how hard we ask Capcom for a new game they really don’t listen to us. We have been waiting for Mega Man X9 for years, and it seems that the only lead we have is the fact that it was going to release on PS2 a year or two after X8, but it never happened. It’s been a 20 year cliffhanger or more, which is truly ludicrous considering how popular the X series is in reality, compared to things like Star Force that sold less than the desired amount, with Star Force 2 in particular being a disaster.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is unexpected
Fans are disappointed despite a vocal minority being excited about this collection. Maybe this is still part of the plan of re-releasing everything slowly, but a Legends Legacy Collection still wasn’t a thing, which is utterly ridiculous being the game fans suffered with the most when they cancelled Legends 3 back in the day. We still won’t get Legends 3, we still won’t be able to take Volnutt off the moon, and it seems that we will also never get a ZX3 either despite it being a consideration way back in the day, they scrapped everything.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is coming in 2026, perhaps on the initial months of the year, but it really does not change anything. Mega Man Legends fans have been waiting for decades now for a proper continuation, and then we have people begging for Star Force 4 to be a thing despite the plot being finished. At the very least Mega Man Zero fans are smart enough to realize they are the only ones with a proper end to their series, because it was the best one after all.
