Ultra System Requirements for Battlefield 6 revealed

Battlefield 6

Although EA and DICE had released the official system requirements for Battlefield 6 earlier this month, they were specifically the Minimum and Recommended configurations for the game, and the devs have just revealed the final system requirements for those who want to run the upcoming first person shooter at it’s maximum possible visual quality levels. And it’s every bit as demanding as you may expect, considering Battlefield 6 is powered by the Frostbite 3 engine which is as graphically rich as it’s taxing on most systems.

If you aim to play Battlefield 6 with all the settings maxed out at 4K or even at 1440p, you’ll need either an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX, along with 32 GB of dual-channel 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM. And on the CPU side, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i9 12900K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D which are some of the most powerful options available right now. Overall Battlefield 6 on Ultra settings will require quite a beefy rig, even on 2025 standards.

But even though the game requires an extremely powerful rig on max settings, the upcoming Battlefield 6 is also designed to be a lot more scalable on most systems, as specifically stated by technical director Christian Buhl in a recent interview with PC Gamer.

“We want Battlefield 6 to run great without [DLSS], and we want to give you the option to use it if you want, I believe all of our default performance targets are not with [upscaling] on.”

He also said that the game was designed to ensure that players using lower-end hardware would still get a smooth gameplay experience, indicating a high degree of optimization.

“Min spec is certainly one of our most important specs … it’s super important from both a commercial and business perspective,” said Buhl. “We want as many people as possible playing the game … We did a lot of analysis, we did tests on the game on a wide range of hardware above and below our minimum and recommended specs. We figured out what we can hit, what we need to hit from a business perspective, and that was to capture a wide audience on PC. It’s been super critical.”

Battlefield 6 is slated to be released on October 10.
