Suit for Hire got a massive update that adds tons of QOL and even more features to the game. PC players who are fans of this hidden indie title are very happy to get an upgraded version of the same experience. Along with the improvements, a ton of bug fixes have been done, making the game feel better to play as some of the bugs were quite nasty ones. For example, one of the most important mechanics of the game is counter attacks, there’s also another mechanic called time-focus which is a special mode that powers you up but can be broken if certain actions happen. We at Infinite Start will cover this and more issues the patch fixed.
Suit for Hire got an epic upgrade
The intended resolution of chaining counters and time-focus is that time-focus does not break, the issue is that a bug caused this to not be taken into account because Counter had the priority over other actions, causing it to become an action that breaks the time-focus. This lead to various issues with gameplay flow, because many of the strategies in the game involve the proper usage of both mechanics at the same time. Along with this very valuable fix, a ton of other issues in Suit for Hire were polished, such as graphical bugs.
Another major bug was using Counter and Kick with the same bindings, as it caused players to halt right into a snail’s pace, practically breaking the game. As it was more rare to find, I actually didn’t find this one but I’ve heard others were having issues with it. It is nice to see that Godmode Interactive is helping players enjoy their game, as the vast majority of triple A titles don’t seem to come in a format that regular people would deem stable. Suit for Hire released yesterday, and I really think more people should give it a try.
