Steam data from their surveys show that there has been a market share reduction for Windows, almost 1%, while the market share for Linux has increased by 1%. Yes, this is a very minor change for some, but imagine if this keeps going, what will Microsoft do to prevent the looming threat of Linux? We really don’t know, if anything, they would employ dirty tactics like they always did to scare people from using the objectively better system. Those who switched to Linux have discovered that their gaming capabilities have greatly increased, with massive FPS boosts in the 25% range. We at Infinite Start will tell you more.
Steam data shows Linux is better
This is truly the year of the Linux desktop, and no, this ain’t a meme. For those who remember the older days of Linux but don’t know what has been happening lately, they may think this is a crazy statement. The reality is that Linux has advanced so much lately that it has surpassed Windows in many aspects, there really is no reason to use Windows unless you are forced to, or you want to play some weird Live Service game that only bots play. The stability of the penguin operating system is definitely a thing to behold.
Steam data rarely lies, as the hardware survey is very comprehensive, add that to the fact that many play on a Steam Deck, and you get more people using Linux than ever before. If you have a Steam Deck, you are already a Linux user yourself, as Steam data represents that the Steam Deck belongs to the Linux family of systems. If you are interested in trying out the best operating system, it is free for everyone to do so, and there’s thousands of distributions to pick from, Linux Mint is my personal recommendation with AnduinOS on the side.
