Developer GSC GameWorld has just released patch 1.5.3 for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl which addresses several bugs and crashes in the game and while this isn’t the huge Unreal Engine 5.5 upgrade that’s confirmed to arrive in the next couple of months, it’s still vital nonetheless cause the patch does make the overall gameplay experience more polished and smoother in lots of ways.
The bug fixes that Stalker 2’s latest patch is aimed at caters mostly to NPCs and enemies in the game including the areas they spawn and where they also teleport during some of the attacks. For example, many NPCs would just spawn in mid-air, in radiation fields and other unexpected areas in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl but the new patch corrects all of those issues permanently so now both enemies and NPCs behave in much more realistic ways.
The new patch should also make the game a bit more stable as there are a total of four crash fixes included.

- Fixed an issue where some NPCs could spawn in unexpected places.
- Fixed a bug where the left arm of an NPC could be twisted when they were only holding a pistol.
- Fixed an issue where the HUD widgets could be displayed while PDA is open on the ultra-wide monitors.
- 4 crashes fixed.
