Bubsy 4D is better than Battlefield 6 the trailer shows us that fact, I’m not even joking, I would take a Bubsy game before I even set my foot in a live service game like that. There’s already more love put into this game than whatever live service slop like Call of Duty or Battlefield could ever bring to the table. Yes, a Bubsy game might be the thing that saves gaming if it goes well and shows us that mascot platformers are still valid, they are still a valid genre but it needs to be done well really. We at Infinite Start will cover this surprise reveal.
Bubsy 4D is unexpected
At the height of popularity of the mascot platformer genre, there was a certain little game that came out on popular 16-bit systems of the time. That was Bubsy, and well, it just existed really there was nothing particularly remarkable about it rather than it just being born out of trend chasing. Back then, these games ended up buried in the trash as anything that chases trends should be really, it is very poetic that this new game in the franchise might be the only different thing in a sea of trend chasers and copy cats.
Bubsy 4D is being published by Atari, and done by a small indie studio that seems to really care about making a good game. I do wonder what would have happened for the team at Fabraz to get a hold of this IP in the first place, like really, what sort of exchange do you need to do to end up like this? Anyways, there’s still no proper release date for the game, but some assume it might drop in either 2026 or 2027. If you wanna see the infamous bobcat succeed for some reason, maybe you should wishlist this Bubsy 4D.
