Atari will collaborate with Ubisoft in a surprising twist of events, one of the oldest titans in video gaming will unify with a now infamous developer, this will be done to bring some old IPs back to the table. Cold Fear is one of the games that will be making a comeback, and a ton of players are very excited to know that this will happen since its a beloved game by many. There’s a total of five titles that will be making a comeback, but Cold Fear is one of the most important ones in the bundle. This is happening because Atari partially owns some of the rights over these titles.
Atari collabs with Ubisoft
This is crazy but it is happening whether we like it or not, it seems that Ubisoft is expecting that Guillemont will be devoured by the jury since he is still facing some trials due to harassment in the workplace. Perhaps with some change of leadership, it is possible that Ubisoft can go back to its former glory, however this is very improbable since a lot of factors need to align for it to happen. Unfortunately for many of us, the world of video games is cruel and ruthless, not allowing developers to properly deviate from the live service model they have brought upon themselves.
Both Ubisoft and Atari has been trying to do some interesting deals with indie developers, and now a ton of new games based on pre-existing IPs have been created. We even have a new game for the Adventure series by Atari, which is quite surprising considering how primitive the series is. Ubisoft is also trying to bring back some old IPs, but it does not seem like Rayman is on sight. If Ubisoft wants to restore themselves back, they should really honor one of their best IPs, that being Rayman.
