The official reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 is finally here showcasing the next evolution of EA’s iconic flagship shooter series along with plenty of explosive warfare with devastating destruction. So if you haven’t watched it already, do so right now cause it’s the next big FPS moment in gaming that many have been waiting for as the trailer provides a spectacular glimpse of a generational evolution of everything that the Battlefield series is known for and then some.
“Witness the vicious path of destruction carved by Pax Armata, the world’s leading private military company. PAX purses the destruction of NATO and its allies, stopping at nothing to uphold their motto: ‘Our Protection, Your Peace,'” reads the official description of the trailer which mostly suggests details regarding Battlefield 6’s campaign.
The trailer starts off with a cinematic styled narrative beat hinting on a possible impeding global warfare before quickly exploding into an almost nonstop barrage of all-out military action spanning from war torn city streets to desert areas, from underground subways to what seemed like a dense forest. Overall it certainly seems like the most action packed videogame trailer you’ll watch this year and for good reasons, cause from ground infantry combat to aerial dogfights involving jets and even tank battles, Battlefield 6 ticks all the boxes for “the ultimate all-out warfare experience” that you can ask for in terms of what’s possible in videogames in this current era of gaming.
Also, the real time and procedural destruction effects were on full display on the trailer which looked extremely realistic and impactful, basically dialing up the already impressive destruction that was present in the previous Battlefield games to whole new levels of immersion and spectacle.
The story also looks to take place on New York that’s under attack by a foreign militant force, which would definitely make room for some interesting story beats in the game’s campaign.
A full multiplayer reveal of Battlefield 6 is set to take place next Thursday on July 31st where we’ll likely get to see actual gameplay footage and more information on the upcoming shooter. Battlefield 6 will also feature 64-player combat which suggests it’s closer to the multiplayer action that we’ve seen in both Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, titles that many fans consider as some of the the best entries in the franchise.
