Katanaut receives a gameplay trailer oozing with action and sick moves. PC players are yet again privileged by another indie game dropping in their feed of games on Steam, which is always a win for those who enjoy quality games. Katanaut will be yet another Roguelite, in the vein of games like Dead Cells, but this one feels unique enough as to bring its own aesthetic to the table. It is true however, that the current era of gaming feels heavily derivative, with few original titles dropping in a sea of clones, but this one feels like more than just a clone. We at Infinite Start will cover this release.
Katanaut receives epic trailer
Lots of effort seem to have gone into the production of this game, and its important to remark that everything was done by a solo developer too. Its always so cool when a solo developer manages to accomplish their dreams, as its truly an arduous task to make a game alone. Not many do this, but after Toby Fox pulling the legendary Undertale out, it seems that many have been inspired to follow the solo developer journey. It would be a lie if I said that I don’t want to try my hand at this someday.
The game is clearly focused around combos, and trying to do some synergy abilities to cause massive amounts of chaos upon hordes of wild enemies that are in every corner. For those who have quick reflexes, Katanaut will be the game that will rule your year 2025, for those who are fans of Dead Cells, the same applies, it looks like a good replacement for it in case you have been craving more like this. Katanaut will release in Q3 of 2025, so stay tuned and support the developer with a wishlist, indie devs who put effort into the craft deserve that.
