Gearbox Software’s CEO Randy Pitchford has shared new details about their upcoming Borderlands 4 at the recent Borderlands 4 Fan-fest including the co-op gameplay, the skills and the overall upgrades for each playable character and more. Pitchford stated, “You’ll find more skills per character than you found in Borderlands 3 and 2 added together, it’s a lot of complexity and depth per character; We’re working late on Fridays for you,” also adding that the devs have “doubled-down on the co-op experience” to make it the very best the series has ever seen.
Borderlands 4’s Chief Creative Officer Randy Varnell has also emphasized that “We have more guns and gear than we’ve ever put in any Borderlands game; We’ve tuned the drop rates to be sure that Legendries once again feel Legendary,” he stated.
Also, lead writer Tyler Clark has added that the developers are aiming to break new grounds in the series and push boundaries in the upcoming Borderlands 4 in unexpected and interesting ways: “Ways that we want to make it feel like we’re breaking fresh ground again,” Clark said.
Gearbox’s upcoming Borderlands 4 is currently available for pre-order including the $69.99 Standard Edition, the $99.99 Deluxe Edition and finally the more expensive Super Deluxe Edition which costs a whopping $129.99 so if you want to play the action-RPG plus looter shooter, you should book your copy in your choice of platform starting today. And as we can see, Borderlands 4 will not cost $80 instead the Standard Edition of the game will be sold for $69.99 which is pretty reasonable.
Each edition of the game will also come packed with tons of bonus features including four upcoming DLC packs with whole new quests, bosses and more additional contents of Borderlands 4 so there’s plenty of value to go around.
Borderlands 4 is slated to be released on September 12 this year across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
