In a shocking turn of events for the iconic first-person shooter franchise, Battlefield 2042 is leading the massive crossover with classic science fiction RPG Mass Effect developed by BioWare. The eye-popping collaboration, announced with the game’s latest patch, brings forth new content that will surely be appealing to fan groups for both franchises.
The twist to this crossover is adding new cosmetic products for the purpose of bringing Mass Effect players aboard. Headlining the most eagerly anticipated additions are character skins that are an easy source of inspiration from BioWare’s legendary franchise, and N7 armor which has famously decorated Commander Shepard high on the list. Apart from these changes in character, they even sport blaster skin-inspired guns from the classic blasters of the Mass Effect universe, thereby linking the two universes on a thematic level.
This cross-over content is released as a set of bundles.
