The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 was today. The upcoming games for the system boast some impressive upgrades that truly show that the Switch 2 is actually quite the powerhouse. To be fair, the Switch 2 is pretty much what the New 3DS was to the original 3DS. While it will sport new titles that cannot run on the older system, a ton of the library so far is just ports with a few new titles sprinkled in.
Donkey Kong Bananza
We all know and love Donkey Kong, this new game packs quite a punch, and this is just by looking at the trailer alone. With what seems to be fully destructible environments, many await that this game will be a revolution in how game worlds pan out. Although, we already had destructible environments as early as the PS2 with titles like Dawn of Mana and others. However, the scale of destruction this one will bring seems to be like something never seen before. Available on July 17th.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
The new entry on the prime sub series is quite hype, in fact, a ton of people who are doubtful about getting the console might only do it to be able to play this new Prime sequel. Its been years since Prime 3 dropped and it truly changed how the series moved forward. If you really want to continue the journey of Samus Aran, you must really get this one since Nintendo seems to have put a lot of effort on their IPs. Available in 2025.
The Duskbloods
There really isn’t much details about the game, its another Live service title by From Software, and it seems that it truly take a lot of inspiration from Bloodborne. However, Sony will never let go of Bloodborne, and while this might be just a PVP title like Nightreign, its unfortunately the best we can get as Bloodborne fans. Available in 2026.
These were 3 Nintendo Switch 2 games you must get
The catalogue is still very small, mostly comprised of ports form other systems, but these 3 are exclusives you really need to get your hands on.
