World of Warcraft Players Discover New Lorewalking Story

World of Warcraft Players Discover New Lorewalking Story

Long-time World of Warcraft players have discovered documents indicating a fourth, previously uncelebrated Lorewalking tale. The new story thread will explore the rich history and intricacies of Quel’Thalas’ Blood Elves. The discovery was made due to the continuing investigation of the Public Test Realm (PTR) for the coming Patch 11.1.7.

The Lorewalking functionality, which has been one of the major new features in Patch 11.1.7, provides players with specially crafted questing scenarios that shed intense insight into lore about main characters, defining cultures, and life-defining moments of the Warcraft world. The introduction of the initial patch is expected to have three unique questlines, delving into the richness of the mysterious Xal’atath, interdimensional Ethereals, and the hope-crushing tale of the Lich King.

But persistent data miners have found concrete evidence of a fourth tale that features the Blood Elves since. Datamined text includes more than two and a half minutes of recorded conversation between Pandaren sage and these ancient quests’ narrator Lorewalker Cho. His words recount with laborious attention the Blood Elves’ history, how they were forced out of ancient homelands of Kalimdor to ultimately return to reclaim their holy Sunwell.

Fueling the mystery further, a datamined screenshot features Lor’themar Theron, the loyal Regent Lord of Quel’Thalas, and Magister Umbric, the ethereal Void Elf leader. The visual hint is a powerful implication that the new storyline will surround the complex birth and development of the Void Elves, a race obviously tied into the Blood Elf heritage.

Even though an official release date for this Blood Elf-focused Lorewalking tale has not yet been announced, player speculation is that it should surface sometime later this year. It could very well be part of one of the upcoming patches before the highly popular Midnight expansion. The new expansion will have players going back to highly reworked Quel’Thalas, so this would be story-wise the ideal time to revisit the region’s history. Furthermore, these zone remodels’ upgraded graphical aspects can be used by game developers to create interesting new quests that would fit well with the timeline of history.

WoW Patch 11.1.7 will bring a vast amount of content to World of Warcraft by adding a new war story campaign for war-torn Arathi Highlands, a return to Battle for Azeroth Timewalking raids and dungeons, and a creative self-heal mechanism that will be giving benefit to all playable classes. According to PTR dev calendar, patch is already rumored to be releasing sometime on June 17th or June 24th.
