TooKyo Games, the studio behind Danganronpa, one of the most popular visual novels, is in huge debt. They now depend in the success of The Hundred Line, their latest title that will make or break the company. If you are a Danganronpa fan, you really have to ensure you get the game, this is not something TooKyo games can afford to blunder now. You can actually get the game on PC, which is slowly becoming the best platform to play visual novels. We’ve come full circle since the Japanese 90s era, where visual novels where mostly PC games. We at Infinite Start will cover some details about this new game.
Studio behind Danganronpa, last resort
Some weeks ago and without fanfare, The Hundred Line has dropped silently on PC. This is the game that will define if TooKyo games keeps existing as an entity in the gaming market. This new Visual Novel Adventure game puts us in the shoes of Takumi Sumino, who is a totally average teenager living in the Tokyo Residential Complex. Place where every day is much like the last and nothing bad ever happens. All that changes when freakish monsters attack the town and start wreaking havoc. A strange creature calling himself Sirei appears and offers Takumi the power to protect those he holds dear. This is neat and all, but to do this, he needs to stab his chest.
The game will include some tactical RPG elements into the mix, since you are the last line of defense in the school, you will have to muster your newfound power to survive for 100 days. Ensuring everyone is alive is integral, and plays a key part on the endings you can get. Like many of TooKyo’s titles, this game is filled with plenty of grim endings, which is part of the fun. If you are a fan of Danganronpa, this is a game that you must get.
