Killing Floor 3 Pins Down July 24 Launch Date

Nearing a nine-year wait, Tripwire Interactive’s Killing Floor 3 is to release into stores on July 24, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement comes following a minor postponement from the originally scheduled launch date of March 25. The US studio intends to resupply the survival horror genre with this new addition to the post-apocalyptic franchise.

Killing Floor 3 drops gamers into a dystopian future to become members of the Nightfall faction. Task: fight their way through the hordes of bioengineered zombies called Zeds and salvage humanity. There is flexibility offered with single-player and six-player co-op as a first-person shooter.

In February 2025, the developers carried out a closed beta, with an initial goal of launching the game in March. Nevertheless, the feedback from the beta process led to a delay. Since then, the development team has worked to improve and refine the game. Creative director Bryan Wynia explained that the extra time gave them the opportunity to bring the game closer to the collective vision of the developers and the community.

Pre-orders for the game have been reactivated, featuring Standard, Deluxe, and Elite Nightfall versions. Tripwire Interactive has also promised post-launch support with fresh features and content.
While it remains unclear precisely which aspects of the game have been improved, developers previously acknowledged shortcomings in stability, UI/UX, lighting, and weapon feel. At the time of the delay announcement, they also confirmed that character and perk class selection would be added in a post-launch update.

With the continued player interest in Killing Floor 2 over the last decade, good traction is anticipated in the sequel when it comes out. The gaming population is keen to know how the additional time for development has helped to fix the problems highlighted during the beta phase.

Nintendo Denies Mario Kart World AI Claims In a recent twist of events, Nintendo formally denied that the creators of Mario Kart World used generative AI to create the upcoming racing game for the Nintendo Switch 2. This follows growing hype surrounding the release of the new console and is meant to clear claims by fans for the graphical capabilities of the game. The furore started when there was an official revelation of the game in a Switch 2 Direct event in April. Although a reveal trailer garnered a lot of hype initially, a later Nintendo Treehouse live stream raised a furore among fans. Prolific users noticed what seemed to be AI-generated images of some background posters in a track. The abnormalities were a bizarre-proportioned vehicle and zigzag ramps on a building that did not stand up to physical laws. In reaction to being asked a question by Eurogamer, a representative for Nintendo released a brief statement denying the allegations. The firm reiterated its statement that the accusations were baseless and that developers did not use generative AI in designing the game. In spite of this denial, Mario Kart World has also faced criticism from the gaming community. Some of the fans have been angered at the $80 price tag of the game, which is higher than most Nintendo Switch games. Nintendo has justified this price on the basis of the open-world idea and extensive graphical overhauls in relation to the previous versions. Nevertheless, for price-conscious buyers, a Switch 2 bundle with the game can be purchased at a $30 discount. Throwing in the mix, players will not be capable of turning off course hazards, although players will be able to view the appearance of usable items on courses. Mario Kart World will be a bundled launch title for Nintendo Switch 2.
