The Crew 2 is yet another live service by Ubisoft that was about to meet the same fate as the original one. PC players still mourn the fact that The Crew 1 is basically lost to time, Live Service games die, yet, they sell you the game as if it would last forever. This is one of the most common Ubisoft scams, by using the ToS like many companies do, they try to force players into giving up their money for nothing. This needs to stop, and many legal bodies are trying to scrutinize every movement Ubisoft does. We at Infinite Start are also hoping for Ubisoft to collapse.
The Crew 2 gets offline
Even if The Crew 2 gets offline mode, that does not change anything. Ubisoft is a terrible company that decides that NFTs are a thing that should be done, even in 2025. Along with this, they don’t really care about the games they produce, they just want to appeal to dry trends that no real human cares about.
There’s nothing good coming out from them, and it has been decades since that. People need to stand up for their own rights, and avoid giving money to the one who abuses us. The gaming medium would be so much better if games like The Crew 2 offered a feature full offline mode. Games back then used to be primarily offline and they had plethora of content in them.
We do not need this sort of things, software and hardware is boundless now, and we can fit everything in a single SD card. Game development also got easier, with templates and engines that do the whole game for you. Yet, with all the tools for creativity, people insist that creativity isn’t needed, what we need is a soulless product that you don’t even own according to them.
