Oblivion Remastered forces FrameGen for max graphics in 2025

Oblivion Remastered shamelessly forces Frame Generation regardless of what PC you have. People are so tired of having to deal with this sort of corporate slop, nobody wants to suffer input lag. This generation of gaming might truly be the last one considering how much effort is being put into the medium by triple A developers, which is zero effort. Nobody cares about graphical “advancements”, or the myriad of different thingamajigs that are merely just smoke and mirrors. A broken game is a broken game, and art direction has been disrespected. We at Infinite Start can hope that this ends soon.

Oblivion is better in 2006

It is crazy that the previous iteration is better optimized than the current one. Alas, we are in the 2020s, the worst years for the gaming industry as a whole. Nowadays, few focus on creating amazing and fun games, which is truly sad. All the cash goes to graphical advancements, that fail to surprise anyone that has been in this industry for too long. Only tourists “like” the games that they see nowadays, since they are only smoke and mirrors.

Indies are the last bastion of creativity in the gaming space. And those will never bend to the corporate will that is slowly rotting away our favorite hobby. Requiring to enable sham features even when you have the latest PC is shameless, and Indies have never done that. This is only done by the triple A schmucks that push such things, things that nobody want to deal with.

Games used to be made by nerds who knew how to make fun and optimized experiences. Nowadays, its only suits taking the decisions, and nerds being abused, we have to reclaim those better days by supporting indie developers. It truly is the worst time to enjoy games if you expect anything from triple A publishers.
