Players of Marvel Rivals are going to be rewarded with a fresh batch of free in-game cosmetics soon. NetEase Games is providing a unique “Unlimited Thing” costume for the boulder hero The Thing. In order to obtain this unique skin, players only need to subscribe to a free one-month subscription to Marvel Unlimited using the promo code “HEREISTHETHING”. This intriguing promotion comes in tandem with the much-awaited launch of Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala on April 11th. The new season also adds Emma Frost, the White Queen, to the playable lineup as the latest recruit.

Aside from the new look of The Thing, players will also get another fashionable cosmetic on the Scarlet Witch. For participating in Season 2, simply playing nine consecutive matches, the players will also get the high-end “Chaos Gown” attire of the powerful witch. Playing even three games this new season will also give players their own Scarlet Witch nameplate to customize their in-game account.

‼️ So here's The Thing. Brand new issues of the #MarvelRivals Infinity Comic are coming to Marvel Unlimited starting April 11th, and you can get a FREE skin for The Thing just by subscribing (and you can do that for free, too!) Keep reading for all the details. ↓↓↓

To complement the hype, fresh rumors have indicated that even more free skins are on their way in Season 2. Rumors have been pointing to a “Will of Galacta” skin for Namor, the Sub-Mariner, possibly being available through Twitch Drops. Rumors have indicated that Mantis, the empath, could get a “Flora Maiden” appearance as a reward for checking out a new in-game event down the line. Still, note must be taken that all this information about Namor and Mantis has not been confirmed yet, and players should wait until NetEase Games makes official statements with solid facts.

This is not the first time Marvel Rivals has treated its player base to free cosmetics. Before, there was a redeem code for a special occasion that granted the extremely rare “Iron Man Armor Model 42” skin, with bold black and gold design highlighted with dynamic red. These regular giveaways indicate that the developer is dedicated to giving players plenty of chances to customize their favorite Marvel heroes.

For those that love to build out their hero appearance library, Marvel Rivals is always coming up with some way of obtaining new appearances. These range from promotional tie-ins, like the Marvel Unlimited event, to involvement in in-game events and even platform-specific content. Players are advised to keep an eye on official Marvel Rivals news and also their respective social media sites to not miss out on any impending free content or special events.
