Croc Legend of the Gobbos

Croc Legend of the Gobbos is coming soon on April 2nd to PC

Croc Legend of the Gobbos is coming back soon for PC players to enjoy, (or suffer), through. This was a classic game to have on your PS1 console back in the day, and many of us have experienced the wonders 3D technology has brought to gaming. Unfortunately Croc really needs some proper remastering of its clunky and non intuitive control scheme. We at Infinite Start will cover this announcement.

Croc Legend of the Gobbos is nostalgic

Despite the hard feelings against the game, it is undeniable that there’s lots of charm behind the character design. We are speaking about a game made by Argonaut here, the pioneers of 3D in this massive industry. Apparently, they are currently on a process to revive its foundations to make a company again, and Croc will be at the front of the deal. It is exciting to see a veteran return to this field after many years of inactivity.

Super Mario 64 predates Croc by a year, Croc released in 1997, while Super Mario 64 came in 1996. There was a bit of time to fine tune the equation, but in the end, there was a clear winner. Croc tried to be a Super Mario 64 killer, but in reality, it ended up being killed by it instead. However, there was also a sequel due to the popularity of the first one, after all, this is a game that released on the PSX, a direct competitor to Nintendo 64.

To make everyone happy, it would be cool if Argonaut, who claims they have been on a 20 year hiatus, decides to add a control toggle to appease all players. By doing this, you will be able to pick between tank controls in a 3D platformer if you are a masochist purist, or you can just play it like a normal game should play. If you are interested in experiencing the pain, wishlist this one now on GOG and Steam.
