TF2 Classic was a surprising reveal that happened today for fans of the famed PC FPS. Many fans still love the Team Fortress series despite the fact that it hasn’t received a proper update in years. The game was run over to the ground when they decided to add micro transactions into the mix. People just want to enjoy some good team based FPS game, not become weird crypto bros. Micro transactions tarnish everything they touch, making games into sloppy messes that are often unrecognizable. TF2 Classic is a Classic
Seems surprising that after 15 years or more, Team Fortress 2 would just receive a fan made expansion titled TF2 Classic. There is people still playing the game religiously, even after it has become a hub for gamblers who just want to bet fictional items. When your server isn’t raided by racist bots and other anomalies, Team Fortress 2 still holds up as one of the best team shooters out there.
This new mod plans to add stuff from Team Fortress Classic, such as the civilian class. A brand new special class based on the legacy Team Fortress Classic character, and deliver him mostly unharmed to the objective in VIP mode. There will also be new weapons, or more like older ones that were scrapped added back into the game. The Tranquilizer Gun is one of those new additions, and many people have been waiting to power up their Medic that way.
There is also new game modes alongside it that are completely new. These include Domination, Territorial Domination, and VIP Race, all playable on professional quality official maps, with more planned to release in the future.
