Genshin Impact will soon add an Auto Chess game mode to its robust roster of mini-games and other modes, a recent leak has shown. The leak, posted by well-known HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat, suggests the mode will marry both PvP and PvE activity with the game’s standard exploration and combat dynamics. However, players should not anticipate seeing the mode anytime soon because it is set to debut supposedly after Version 5.6.
What to Expect in Genshin Impact’s Auto Chess Mode
As per the leak, Auto Chess mode will include getting gear and Artifacts to make characters stronger and a mechanism through which players can sell items for buying currency to level up Talents. Although no official information has been provided by HoYoverse, the leak questions whether this mode will be an event that will run for a period of time or a permanent game mode, like Genius Invokation TCG.
Auto Chess: A Hottest Genre Making Its Way to Teyvat
Auto Chess was first discovered to be a mod of Dota 2 and later influenced games like Teamfight Tactics and Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Genshin Impact also has a track record of appropriating features from mainstream trends, including Windtrace, its Prop Hunt-like mode, and the full-time inclusion of its rhythm minigame. This leads one to wonder if, since the Auto Chess mode also performs well, it can be a long-term feature.
What’s Next for Genshin Impact?
Prior to the Auto Chess mode, Version 5.5 will add new characters, Varesa (5-star) and Iansan (4-star), and Natlan’s Great Volcano of Tollan to it. These are included in Genshin Impact’s streak of revitalizing its content with every major update.
While awaiting more news, such a leak promises that Genshin Impact is again embracing innovation, possibly bringing with it a new thrilling form of play in Teyvat.
