Developer Teases Exciting Post-Launch DLCs for WWE 2K25, says “We’re pushing the Envelope”

In a recent interview with WrestleZone senior Editor Matt Black, 2K Developer Bryan Williams has hinted on several soon-to-be-announced DLC’s for the hotly anticipated WWE 2K25. According to him, the post-launch DLC’s for the game will be genuinely surprising and will push the envelope of in-game contents even further than what fans are expecting right now from WWE 2K25, which is already the biggest in the history of the franchise.

“Well, I’ll just start off with, I know because I talked with our good buddy Al. The DLC will be announced soon. So fans won’t have to wait too much longer to find out what we are offering this year. And secondly, I will say that I am super stoked about this year’s DLC. We’ve got some surprises, some — I mean, a lot of surprises, ” Bryan Williams hinted.

“Characters that I think, of course, I think if anybody thinks about, you know, they’re like, oh probably this character, this superstar, we have some genuine surprises. Some shocking characters that I think — I was shocked that we that we were able to do what we’re doing. So, yeah, I’m excited, and I think the fans will be genuinely very excited about this year’s DLC offering. “

“Like I said, I mean, some wrestlers and superstars that I’m sure people will be like, oh my god, I never thought I’d have this person in this game. And it’s like, yep, brand new world. We’re pushing the envelope. We’re trying to move mountains to really make our DLC as exciting and as worthwhile post-launch as it possibly can be. Gotta keep that excitement going, you know what I mean? After the game comes out, it’s got to be exciting.”

It seems that the unannounced DLC’s will bring even more Wrestlers into the game, the number of which is already the all-time-highest in the series as WWE 2K25 boasts more than 300 Superstars in it’s massive roster, including many Wrestlers who aren’t part of the company anymore.

As expected, Williams chose to stay tight-lipped regarding any official dates for the DLC’s.

“Yeah, I mean, we have hard cut-offs,” Bryan Williams confirmed. “I’ll keep those to myself for right now. But that’s one of the good things about having DLC and having the ability to add content to the game post-launch. There’s no bigger fan of Penta than myself. I’m looking at my action figures, and I still don’t have one, but I’ll get one soon. So I will just say keep your ears tuned to @WWEGames and wherever you get your WWE 2K25, news, and I think the fan base will be excited about what we are offering this year.”

WWE 2K25 launches on March 14 for the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC platform.
