Spider-man 3 supposedly underway

Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Might Already Be in Early Production at Insomniac

A recent job listing from Insomniac Games has sparked speculation that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could already be in early production. Insomniac, known for its critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man series, is reportedly looking for a Senior UX Researcher to assist with a AAA project currently in development. The listing suggests that the company is beginning work on a major title, potentially the next installment in the Spider-Man series.

The news aligns with rumors that began circulating after the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in 2023. The game left several loose ends, setting the stage for another sequel. Insomniac has since confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is in the works, though few details have been shared.

Adding fuel to the speculation, leaked information from a 2023 data breach hinted at Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 being part of Insomniac’s upcoming projects. Fans have even theorized that new characters might make their debut in this sequel. However, with no official release date, many believe the game could still be years away from hitting shelves.

Interestingly, rumors of a half-sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have also been circulating. This spin-off is said to feature Venom as the main playable character and could potentially release later this year. However, if true, this spin-off is unlikely to be the focus of Insomniac’s new job listing, as it would likely already be in advanced stages of production.

While the job listing could also point to a new Ratchet and Clank game, insiders believe Insomniac is currently prioritizing its Marvel universe titles. This makes Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 the most likely candidate for the project in question.

Regardless of what the future holds, PlayStation fans have lots of reason to be excited. Whether it’s another chapter in the Spider-Man saga or a surprise project, Insomniac’s continued efforts promise more high-quality gaming experiences.
