Final Fantasy XVI Coming to PC in September

After much anticipation, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XVI will be available on PC starting September 17, 2024. This release follows nearly a year of waiting for PC gamers, who can now look forward to experiencing the game on their preferred platform.

The PC version of Final Fantasy XVI comes in two editions: the standard release and a “complete edition” that includes the The Rising Tide and Echoes of the Fallen DLCs. Pre-purchasing the game will also grant players some exclusive in-game items, including the Cait Sith’s Charm accessory, the Sixteen Bells Orchestrion Roll, and the Brave Blade weapon.

In addition to the announcement, a demo is available for download right now. The demo includes “the opening section” of Final Fantasy XVI and features an “Eikonic Challenge” mode. This mode is specifically designed to showcase the game’s mechanics and combat through a dungeon quest and boss fight. Players’ save data from the demo will carry over to the full game, allowing a seamless transition when the full version is released.

For those eager to prepare their systems, Square Enix has also released the game’s system requirements. The minimum specs include an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-8400 processor and 16GB of RAM, while the recommended specs suggest an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel Core i7-10700 processor with the same amount of RAM.
