Arkadium Adds Third Party Publishing for Game Developers; Who Wants to be a Millionaire Among Games Added

Arkadium revealed an exciting new initiative to allow third party publishing through their popular online platform.

In addition to giving more titles a chance to thrive, Arkadium revealed the Arkadium Publishing Fund 1, which has $1 million dollars in hopes of providing support/resources to developers.

Among the first wave of games included are the previously revealed Multiplayer Chess Online, plus RidellaCategoriesRoom EscapeElement Blocks, Zoo Boom, and gameshow sensation Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Online.

Arkadium Co-Founder and CEO, Kenny Rosenblatt, gave the following comment about the exciting move.

Arkadium is proudly opening its doors for third party developers to bring their browser-based games to a global audience, backed by substantial resources and an experienced team to support their efforts. We are leveling the playing field and expanding the reach of talented developers by providing best-in-class publishing and our one-million-dollar publishing fund.

Director of Developer Relations at Arkadium, Dan Butchko, continued with some insight on the move.

I’m thrilled to be able to reveal the seven games that will serve as our inaugural line up as they each come from amazing developers, who hail from all around the world! Our new Arkadium publishing initiative builds on our ‘Arkadium for Developers’ program with even more support for game developers to succeed on browser. This is the next step in our continuing growth as the leader of the BBG sector as we build the world’s best gaming platform alongside some of the most innovative and passionate game creators.

As a fan of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? I gave it a brief go, and it’s a more fun filled take on the series. Questions aren’t timed, so theoretically any run can end with $1 million dollars, but also easy enough where someone with trivia knowledge can do fairly well. Lifelines are also included, though how good they are vary. Like I phoned a friend who simply told me the answer wasn’t one of the options. In all, a good stress free take on the trivia show.

Currently, all of these games, and more are available for play on Arkadium.
