Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered Reunites Us With Garcia Hotspur This Halloween

A wild and wacky 2011 action game conceived from a Suda51 (Killer7), Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) and Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) team-up is finally returning to us this October. Of course, I’m talking about Shadows of the Damned. Over a decade later, Mexican demon hunter Garcia Hotspur is ready to ride once again, this time gracing every modern gaming platform available.

Grasshopper Manufacture dropped a new, unhinged trailer for Shadows of the Damned:Hella Remastered that’ll take you back to the gaming landscape of the early 2010’s. It’s crude; it’s crass; and it’s a whole lot of fun. Granted, if the juvenile humor didn’t do anything for you back then, it isn’t likely to have you laughing uncontrollably this time around either. For long-time fans, it’s exactly as you remember it and then some!

The punk rock-infused action-horror remaster packs in new goodies, including additional costumes and New Game+. Unlike the original, the re-release is extending beyond Sony and Microsoft consoles. When Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered launches on October 31, it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

If you need more of that signature Suda51 style in your life, Lollipop Chainsaw is also receiving a remaster this year and will be dropping the month before Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
